INDIAN HENNA LIGHT BROWN is a certified organic plant-based hair colour created according to traditional Ayurvedic recipes from a carefully selected blend of Henna, Indigo, Amla, Bhringraj and Neem.

It gives the hair a natural light brown shade with vibrant golden and warm botanical highlights while providing comprehensive care for the hair and scalp.

Unlike conventional oxidative hair colours, the botanical pigments do not require ammonia or hydrogen peroxide. They combine with the hair’s original colour and coat its surface with a fine layer of pigment without damaging the hair’s natural structure.

After colouring, the hair appears thicker, smoother and more voluminous, with a natural shine and well-cared-for appearance. The botanical formula helps strengthen weakened hair, reduce dryness and breakage, makes the hair easier to comb and acts as a natural conditioner.

The colour is suitable for all hair types, including fine, dry, weakened, dull, porous and breakage-prone hair. It can be used for regular colouring, shade maintenance and the care of greying hair.\

A light brown shade with an individual result

INDIAN HENNA
does not lighten the hair’s natural colour. The botanical pigments combine with the original shade, which means that the final result is individual for every person.

Depending on the original hair colour, the following results are possible:

on light and light blonde hair — a rich light brown shade with golden or warm highlights;

on medium blonde hair — a natural warm brown shade;

on grey and white hair — a lighter and brighter golden brown or honey brown shade;

on dark blonde and brown hair — a deeper brown tone with warm botanical highlights;

on dark hair — no visible lightening will occur, but the hair may gain warm brown highlights, greater colour depth and additional shine;

on previously coloured, lightened or porous hair the colour may appear more intense, brighter or darker.

Immediately after colouring, the shade may appear warmer or brighter. Over the following 24–48 hours, the botanical colour oxidises, deepens and develops its final appearance.

Before first use, it is recommended to carry out a strand test. This will allow you to assess the individual result in advance and determine the optimal processing time.

Grey coverage

INDIAN HENNA LIGHT BROWN is suitable for colouring grey hair; however, the result depends on the amount of grey hair, its structure and porosity, and previous colouring treatments.

Where there is a small or moderate amount of grey hair, the blend helps create a natural, multidimensional effect: grey hairs take on lighter golden brown shades, while the remaining hair develops a deeper light brown tone. This makes the colour appear vibrant, dimensional and natural.

Where there is a high proportion of grey hair or the hair is completely grey, the shade may appear noticeably lighter, warmer and brighter than shown in the image. A second application may be required for a more even and saturated result.

Botanical colourants have a cumulative effect. With regular use, the shade becomes deeper and more durable, while the transition between grey and pigmented hair becomes less noticeable.

Five organic Ayurvedic plants for colour and care

Henna (Lawsonia inermis) forms the colour base, coats the surface of the hair, helps strengthen its structure and gives the hair thickness, smoothness, visible volume and natural shine.

Indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) balances the warm tones of Henna and helps create a natural light brown colour. Depending on the original shade and processing time, it makes the colour deeper and more balanced.

Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) is one of the most highly valued Ayurvedic plants for hair care. It helps strengthen the hair, preserve its elasticity and natural shine, and supports the development of a deeper, more refined shade.

Bhringraj (Eclipta alba), known in India as the “king of hair”, is traditionally used to strengthen the roots and maintain the hair’s thickness and healthy appearance.

Neem (Azadirachta indica) provides cleansing scalp care, helps maintain its natural balance and keeps the hair looking fresh, strong and well cared for.

Colour and care in a single treatment

INDIAN HENNA LIGHT BROWN does more than change the shade of the hair: it also provides intensive cosmetic care.

With regular use, the hair appears stronger, thicker and more vibrant. The effect is particularly noticeable on fine, weakened, dull hair lacking volume.

Product quantity required\The required amount of powder depends on the length, thickness and structure of the hair:

short hair — approximately 30–50 g;

medium-length hair — approximately 50–80 g;

long or thick hair — approximately 100 g.

One 100 g pack is usually sufficient for a full application on medium-length hair. Two packs may be required for very long or thick hair.

A smaller amount of powder is required when colouring only regrowth. Prepare enough mixture to cover the target area evenly and generously.

Directions for use

Before colouring, wash the hair with a shampoo free from silicones, oils and conditioning additives. Do not use conditioner or a hair mask. Gently towel-dry the hair.

Before beginning the procedure, put on protective gloves and protect your clothing. A rich cream may be applied to the skin along the hairline, taking care not to apply it to the hair itself.

  1. Place the required amount of powder in a clean, non-metallic bowl.

  2. Gradually add hot water at a temperature not exceeding 50 °C, mixing thoroughly.

  3. Mix until a smooth, creamy consistency resembling thick yoghurt or ketchup is obtained. The mixture should spread easily through the hair without running.

  4. If desired, add one teaspoon of salt per 100 g of powder. This may help produce a deeper and cooler Indigo shade.

  5. Use the prepared mixture immediately. Do not leave it standing for an extended period and do not store any remaining mixed colour.

  6. Apply the warm mixture evenly to the hair, beginning at the roots and gradually distributing it throughout the lengths. Every strand should be completely covered.

  7. After application, the mixture may be gently distributed with a wide-toothed, non-metallic comb.

  8. Put on a plastic shower cap and wrap the head in a towel to retain warmth.

  9. Leave the colour on the hair for 60 minutes. For a richer and deeper shade, the processing time may be increased to 90–120 minutes.

  10. Rinse the hair thoroughly with plenty of warm water without shampoo until the water runs clear.

Do not use water hotter than 50 °C. Excessively hot water may weaken the action of Indigo, resulting in a warmer and more reddish shade.

For the first 24–48 hours after colouring, it is not recommended to use shampoo, conditioner, a hair mask or oil. This allows the botanical pigments to develop fully and bond with the hair.

How to preserve the colour

To prolong the durability and intensity of the shade:

  • use the special INDIAN HENNA COLOR CARE shampoo for coloured hair;

  • avoid deep-cleansing shampoos immediately after colouring;

  • do not wash the hair with excessively hot water;

  • limit the use of oils and intensive hair masks during the first few days after colouring;

  • protect the hair from prolonged sun exposure;

  • rinse the hair with clean water after swimming in seawater or chlorinated water;

  • repeat the colouring process as the roots grow and the shade gradually fades.

Important information about the colouring result

The shade name indicates the general colour direction but does not guarantee an identical result on different hair.

Botanical hair colours have a cumulative effect: with repeated applications, the shade may become richer, deeper and darker.

When colouring only regrowth, it is recommended to apply the mixture primarily to the root area. Frequent repeated application over the entire length may gradually make the shade darker.

Before colouring the entire head, always perform a strand test, especially if the hair has been lightened, bleached, permed, severely damaged or previously coloured with synthetic hair dye.

After using Henna or Indigo, the result of subsequent chemical colouring, bleaching or perming may be less predictable. Before undergoing any such procedure, inform your hairdresser that a botanical hair colour has been used and perform a strand test.
