China Oolong Tea

It is a red or turquoise tea. Oolong teas are semi-fermented, and for this they are between black and green teas. This is a small, but unique in its kind teas group, characterized by specific taste and aromatic qualities. Oolong is considered almost the most aromatic teas in the world.

It is believed that oolong combine the quality of black and green tea, but they can not be regarded as a mixture of green and black tea, it is a fundamentally different tea. If you look at oolong tea leave after brewing, the edges of it will remind of black tea and the rest of the leave will look like green. The chemical composition of these teas contain almost twice more catechins (antioxidants) than black tea.
