Action: stimulant, tonic, expectorant, aphroditic, diuretic

It is an excellent food during the recovery period and during loss of strength, especially with weakness of the nervous, respiratory and reproductive systems.

Consumed in the form of porridge, it increases lactation and promotes hair growth.

Cautions: pregnancy (can lead to miscarriage, causes uterine bleeding), high Pitta conditions.
