Each capsule contains:

extract Haritaki (Terminalia chebula, Haritaki) - 250 mg



This is the main component of TRIPHALA ("three fruits"), consisting of haritaki, amalaki and Terminalia bellirica and represents one of the major Ayurvedic medicines.



Haritaki - astringent. Fruits of the plant are used as a mild laxative, improve digestion and appetite, and improve the function of the stomach, stimulate the secretion of bile. Haritaki fruits due to high content of acids stimulate the activity of enzymes of cytochrome 450 group, that responsible for the antitoxic function of the liver.



Note:  Since Himalaya’s Pure Herbs are in capsule form, some children below 14 years may find it difficult to swallow them. For this reason, Pure Herbs are recommended for children ages 14 and above.
