Basmati Supreme Silk rice is used in a variety of India and Persian dishes where the rice as an ingredient amounts to roughly 75% of the dish like in Biryani, Chinese Fried Rice, Pilaf, Kheerni, Afghani Pulaо. The characteristic about Supreme Silk Basmati Rice is its superior length and long grains that elongate about 16-18 MM upon cooking and also do not break while cooking. It has a characteristic nutty flavor and rich woody aroma that easily blends with the spices and meat that it is cooked with in a pot/pan. Cooking Time: 12 - 15 minutes. Can be reheated 3 times without losing its flavor. Preferred highly in the Indian/Pakistani/Arabic/Persian restaurants.

Preparation:

Saffron rice. 2 servings: basmati rice - 1 cup, water - 1.75 cups, Ghee oil - 1 tbsp, saffron and salt.

Wash rice in cold water "till clear water", shift into a thick-walled pot, pour boiling water, add the oil, salt and  5-6 saffron veins. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover with a lid and cook rice without stirring, for about 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and leave without opening the lid for 10 minutes. Rice is ready.
